Ellen, Bryan, Megan & Kyle welcome you to our website.
Now that I've finally gotten around to updating the website there's good news and bad news. The good news is that we've taken lots of pictures and done lots of stuff since the last update. The bad news is...
At the end of March, most of the Hilbrich clan from Colorado paid us a visit.
We got a chance to go the beach and do some tide-pooling.
Kyle graduated from cub scouts to boy scouts (although, he has now decided that boy scouts isn't going to be in his future).
Kyle also had his birthday, with lots of cake and even a few prizes.
Megan has decided to volunteer up at Sulphur Creek, a wildlife rescue group.
She's been going up every week and feeding and caring for the animals.
This summer she is going to be a junior camp counselor there.
I took the kids up to the Oakland art museum with COIL for a really cool tour and art project.
Here's Megan getting ready to paint up a storm.
Probably the biggest news was our trip to Washington D.C. (with a side trip to visit some of Ellen's relatives in Ohio).
While we were in Ohio, we took in a Dragon's game (the local "A" baseball team) where Ellen's aunt sang the National Anthem.
Here's the kids doing what they do best and a picture of Ellen and her relations.
On our way back from Ohio (well, sort of on the way ;) we stopped off in Colonial Williamsburg for a great day visiting
a town set in the 1770s (this is Ellen, Megan and Kyle outside the old jail). We were really fortunate and had just a beautiful day there weather-wise.
As long as we were in the traveling mood, we went ahead and zipped on down to L.A. to visit Bryan's parents and sister and spend a bit of time.
The fun doesn't end there.
Now that the pool was finally warm, Kyle got to have his birthday party for friends.
And to top it off, Father's day happened too.
Steve came by and helped us celebrate with a walk up to Mission Peak.
Everybody was sore after the walk, especially poor old Chipper.
Now I'm sore. Maybe now I've learned my lesson about keeping things updated monthly!
